. . . but always having been an avid reader and writer, science writing was the clear choice. Now I edit the magazine "Research at Boston University," write research briefs and administer the university's research website. I also administer various websites for the Office of the Provost.

. . . I am also a member of the Old Path Sangha and the Order of Interbeing, buddhist communities in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. I am active in the Boston chapter of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship.
